About

Hi, I'm Emilio.

I'm from México. I studied Computer Systems Engineering at UDLAP and graduated in 2026.

I like turning messy data into something people can decide with: dashboards, predictive models, automations and small tools. Football and sports analytics pulled me in first; business is what I want to understand next.

I've worked as a data analyst intern at RIANSA, a software developer intern at Piquero Technology and Sports, a research intern at INRS in Montreal (Mitacs Globalink), and now at Club León FC.

In February 2027 I'm moving to Valencia, Spain, for a master's, and freelancing to pay for it.

I work in Python, SQL, Pandas, Power BI, React and Flask, and I build a lot with AI tools. I speak Spanish natively and English professionally.

Why Mansfield

I was listening to the Acquired podcast episode on Microsoft and I liked the way they named things, so I was forcing myself to come up with one name like that (without using AI). I was at my last internship in Montreal, opened Maps, and saw that the street behind my work was called Mansfield. Not a fancy thing.

The dream

My dream is to live off what I like doing. I don't like the word job. I've been passionate about sports my entire life and I want to live thanks to that. In the last few years I found myself listening a lot to podcasts and videos about founders and companies, so maybe joining those two things is what I'd like. I like the idea of just living off what you like, no matter how much (as long as you can make a living). And to be honest, I lowkey always say that I will have a bunch of money.

Who I am

I'm just a guy who wants to learn, who overthinks way too much, and who sometimes doesn't feel like he deserves everything he has.
